Kacy “The Cosmic Enchantress”
Hi Blushies,
I’m Kacy — a customs broker by day, romance lover by night, and your go-to guide through the chaos called life. I’m in my 30s and spend my 9-to-5 managing the ins and outs of logistics, but outside of work, I’m all about exploring worlds where romance knows no boundaries. From steamy alien tales to paranormal love stories, I’ve got recs that’ll take you to places you didn’t know romance could go!
When I’m not reading, you’ll find me testing out recipes in the kitchen that’ll make you wish I could pass a plate through the mic. Oh, and shoutout to my cat, Dede, who’s basically my furry little sidekick with a lot of opinions (she always has something to say). I can’t wait to introduce you to genres you might never have considered and dive into a few new ones myself!

All Time Favorite Romance Reads
From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my all-time favorite books, as I am sure it is for many! I can’t get enough of the sassy MMC and how much he loves how violent the FMC is and how much he loves honey dew… if you know, you know! The world-building is incredible, immerses you in a unique plot that feels both fresh and captivating. This book blends romance and intrigue perfectly, making it an unputdownable read that I always recommend!
A book I relisten to almost every year on Audible is Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost! The way the MMC says Leila's name with that Romanian accent is absolutely swoon-worthy — I never knew I like a Romanian accent until this book. The plot is fantastic, skillfully blending modern romance with Dracula lore, and it really breathes new life into the vampire love story. Every time I dive back into it, I just wonder if a hot vampire can just bite me already?
My favorite romance series without spice is The One by Kiera Cass, the first book in her Selection series. It’s literally if the TV show The Bachelor was airing to pick the next bride-to-be for a prince. It is packed with competition and a delightful friends-to-lovers dynamic. This book really sparked my love for the friends-to-lovers trope!
Favorite Romance Book Quotes
Kristen Ashely, Mystery Man:
"Does tequila shots followed by 5 hours of sex count as a date?” he asked.
"Um... no," I answered.
"Then I don't date."
Harper L Woods, What Lies Beyond the Veil:
“I want to worship you like you’re my Goddess.”
Suzanne Wright, Feral Sins:
“Hey, I have a suggestion, why not put a condom over your head – if you’re going to act like a complete dick then it makes sense to dress like one.”
What to Expect From Kacy’s TBR Recommendations
When it comes to my to-be-read recommendations, you can expect a delightful mix of sassy female main characters and engaging banter between the main couple. I’m a firm believer that the chemistry between characters makes a story truly memorable, so I gravitate toward books where the dialogue sparkles and the tension is palpable.
I definitely enjoy plenty of spicy scenes—after all, a little heat adds to the excitement! But I’m also a sucker for large world-building that immerses you in a rich, detailed universe. I appreciate stories that take the time to develop not just the romance but the characters and their relationships. Seeing how love evolves against the backdrop of a well-crafted world is a huge plus for me.
My reading taste tends to lean toward romances that are literally out of this world. I can’t get enough of alien romances that explore love in new and imaginative ways as well as their unique.. ahem.. assets. But don’t be surprised if you find some Omegaverse stories or bitey vampire romances on my list too! There’s something thrilling about the stakes (pun intended!) involved in those genres.
Other Notes About Kacy’s Reading Preferences
I prefer to dive deep into a single genre at a time, immersing myself in a whole bunch of alien romances before switching to monster stories and then maybe transitioning to vampire tales. This focused exploration allows me to fully enjoy the unique themes and tropes of each genre. But I also like to maintain a balance in my reading; if I finish a book that's packed with heavy spice, I tend to follow it up with something a bit lighter. I have a particular appreciation for rich world-building, as it transports me to intricate universes where romance can truly flourish.
Read on Blushies! And remember, if he has a tail and split tongue… always, ALWAYS say yes!
